FITRANA 

Fitrana, fitrah or zakat-ul-fitar are terms used to define the obligatory sum of money to be given to the needy before Eid-ul-Fitr. Since Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated by all muslims as a reward from Allah after observing fasts during Ramadan, Fitrana is paid to the needy so that they can fulfill their needs on Eid-ul-Fitr.

It is best to pay a few days before Eid-ul-Fitr so that the needy can recieve in time.
